Festival's: are they same as before?

Image
"Festivals make you realize how lonely you are." Nowadays, people often say, " Aajkal tyoharon mein pehle jaisi baat nahi bachi " (Festivals don't feel the same as before). And to a large extent, this is true. Festivals have become more of a symbolic gesture than a time for real joy and connection. I think back to ten years ago, when I was a kid, and we would celebrate wholeheartedly—there was so much happiness in the air. Today, that magic seems to be missing. Back then, it was incredible how much joy we could find in just one day. Now, everyone seems caught up in their own world, with little regard for others. In a way, even ordinary days feel more fulfilling than festivals do now. Who knows if the old days will ever come back.

Diwali or Deewala?

कोई सोच रहा है, धनतेरस पर कितना सोना ख़रीदना है. कोई सोच रहा है, ठंडा शुरू होने वाली है कहां सोना है। “This is something that snatches away a child’s childhood.” It deeply disappointed me whenever I witnessed the dejected faces of these innocent kids 😦 At this point, it is pertinent to note that festivals like Deepawali do not bring happiness to everyone in our society. Therefore, it is crucial not only to celebrate festivals but also to share happiness. This does not just mean donating to those in need but also includes purchasing locally-made products instead of going to lavish malls.                                                               Be the reason for someone’s smile 🫶🏻✨ #FirstBlogPost
