A Journey to Myself

Image
This summer vacation, as it was coming to an end, my heart felt heavy. I needed some time alone — something I couldn’t get at home because of the constant noise and activity. So, I packed two bags, told my parents that I was going on a trip with friends and would be back in 4-5 days. I knew they wouldn’t let me go alone because of my careless nature. I had no train reservation, no hotel booking, and no plan. Still, I left for Bhopal, bought a general ticket to Thiruvananthapuram, and managed to enter the sleeper coach by giving some money to the TTE. Sadly, I have to stand for whole day as coach was packed with passangers. It was my first time in South India. The language was different, and I couldn’t understand much. But these five days became some of the best days of my life. People often say that you can’t travel alone. But I think you’re never really alone. The chaiwala bhaiya , the kind lady on the bus who explained the railway station, the naughty child who called me “uncle” — ...

Why there is so much suffering in life?

Image
It terrifies me sometimes—   the ugliness that stains the world,   painted with shades of despair and evils untold ...... Whenever I pass through the corridors of cities,   the sprawling roads of sprawling metropolises,   a question troubles me deeply:   why is there so much suffering in the world?   Why is it that someone like me has every comfort,   while others cannot afford even two square meals a day?   When will the day come   when such inequality is erased from the face of the earth?

Joy: a cause of sorrow.

“ When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy”     Kahlil Gibran (Joy and Sorrow ) Kahlil Gibran said that the things bringing us the most joy often end up causing us pain. For me, clearing the CLAT and getting into a top law school was a dream I worked hard for over two years. When I cleared exam my family and I were thrilled—after all, their otherwise ' failure ' son was going to NLIU Bhopal. ๐Ÿ˜… But no one tells you how challenging life can become afterward. Looking back, those days of preparation feel almost easy compared to the pressures of law school. The workload and expectations are tough and bring their own struggles. Yet, I have no choice but to embrace it and keep moving forward. Maybe the takeaway is this: don’t get too carried away by any success, because what brings us happiness can also test us in ways we never expected.

Festival's: are they same as before?

Image
"Festivals make you realize how lonely you are." Nowadays, people often say, " Aajkal tyoharon mein pehle jaisi baat nahi bachi " (Festivals don't feel the same as before). And to a large extent, this is true. Festivals have become more of a symbolic gesture than a time for real joy and connection. I think back to ten years ago, when I was a kid, and we would celebrate wholeheartedly—there was so much happiness in the air. Today, that magic seems to be missing. Back then, it was incredible how much joy we could find in just one day. Now, everyone seems caught up in their own world, with little regard for others. In a way, even ordinary days feel more fulfilling than festivals do now. Who knows if the old days will ever come back.

Diwali or Deewala?

Therefore, it is crucial not only to celebrate festivals but also to share happiness. This does not just mean donating to those in need but also includes purchasing locally-made products instead of going to lavish malls.                                                               Be the reason for someone’s smile ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป✨ #FirstBlogPost
